Appliances in Residence Halls
热锅, 爆玉米花机, 咖啡机, MicroFridges and refrigerators with grounded plugs and less than 4.2 cubic feet capacity, 吹风机, and vacuum cleaners are appliances allowed in residence hall rooms.
Prohibited appliances include toasters, toaster ovens, hotplates, halogen lights and microwaves. Only students who have received authorization through the 健康中心 may use window units or other stand-alone air-conditioners.
You may rent a college-approved microfridge through the Melvin Corporation and have it delivered to your room on Move In Day. 去 Microfridge Rental with questions or to make arrangements.

Many local businesses will accept an out-of-town check if it is printed with a student’s campus address and presented with a Randolph College student ID card. However, many students enjoy the convenience of having a local checking account. Regional banks, including Bank of America, BB&T, SunTrust, 和富国银行, traditionally have representatives on campus during move in and Orientation in August.
Because the College has a bad check policy linked to the Honor System, it is recommended students open checking accounts which include overdraft protection. BB&T is a five-minute walk from campus and has an ATM available around the clock. The other banks are a little farther away, but still easily reached. 有一个BB&T ATM for student convenience on campus.
Mailroom and Copy Center
The Mailroom and Copy Center, located next to Lipscomb Library, provides mail盒子 for all students, United States Post Office pickup and delivery, UPS pickup and delivery, and receiving for all major package delivery services. Visit their web page for more information.

Move In Day Shipments
The Randolph College Mailroom will be ready to accept shipments of luggage, 盒子, and trunks from incoming students on August 1. Because space is limited, please limit the number of trunks to two per person, and ship as few 盒子 as possible.
Students may check out hand trucks from the Dean of Students Office to use for moving items from the Mailroom to their residence hall rooms.

Bringing Your Car to Randolph
All vehicles must be registered with the office of 校园安全 and Security to use College parking lots. 请 review the information on registering your vehicle and all campus parking policies.

If you have a car at Randolph College, it is crucial you understand fully the requirements and the limits of the policy under which you will be insured. If your auto insurance is provided through someone else’s policy (for example, 你的父母), be sure you and the policy holder have a prior mutual and clear understanding as to how you will use the vehicle while you are in school. This will help prevent problems and misunderstandings later.
